Caturday: 21.3.2015
Loa heard we were going shopping in Antwerp, which displeased him a lot as he didn't want to spend the afternoon on his own.
He still had to though, and he was fine.

Cute corduroy plush octopus mobile in Rewind Kids. We went there to see if we could find something for my niece's Easter and ended up taking this photo because the octopus was so cute :)
I like Rewind and Rewind Kids, they're both stores specialising in eco design and they both have some pretty cool things (most of it quite pricy sadly, and other stuff that Bert and I have no use for seeing we haven't spawned), but they're still cool shops to visit anyway :)

Yesterday evening, when I was just about to go upstairs to bed, I spotted this big bug sitting on the curtains. Of course I'm not scared of bugs, and neither is Bert, but we didn't want to leave it be because we worried Loa would hurt and/or kill it. So we put it in a jar for the night. Not knowing if it was hungry and what it would eat, I quickly dropped some lettuce and a piece of kibble of Loa in, and put it somewhere safe. This morning when it was warmed up enough outside, I first took some photos and then set it free. I was a bit worried about it as it seemed to have some trouble with the right wing carpace, but I figured that outside was still the best place for it to be.
Of course, when I started looking up what it was, it turned out to be a juvinile, female stag beetle. Which is amazing, because stag beetles are mega rare AND they've not been sighted officially around here for AGES!
Perhaps it's maybe a look alike stag beetle, but I don't think so.
